Plant Maintenance Setup
In the Plant Maintenance Setup, you can define the following.

| Plant Dimension Code | Select the dimension setup for Plant master data if available. |
| FA Template | You can set up a Configuration Template to pre-populate fields on the Fixed Asset Card when creating a Fixed Asset record from a newly created Plant record. |
| Plant Template | You can set up a Configuration Template to pre-populate fields on the Plant Card when creating a Plant record from a newly created Fixed Asset record. |
| Copy Plant Dimension | This setting will let you select how Plant Dimensions are copied to a Fixed Asset record when using the Create Fixed Asset function |
Projects Setup
In the Projects Setup there are four setup fields that needs to be addressed. The Number series for the Jobs, the number series for the Plants and as an option, enter a default date range when calculating plant planning lines.
2 Project Setup
Project Posting Groups
In the b we need to create at least one Project Posting Group. If you create different jobs for Preventative and Break Down Maintenance and different set up is required for each of these Jobs, then additional Project Posting Groups may be required.
On the Project Posting Group you can determine whether the Job is For Maintenance purpose only. This can be important if you use the Project Functionality for other purposes than Maintenance only.
3 Project Posting Groups
You can also determine per Project Posting Group whether you want the cost of the Resources to post to the G/L and to which accounts. Note that usually the cost of the Resources is already flowing through to the G/L triggered by other events. In example if your Resources is a technician then the cost of this resources flows through to the G/L based on the Payroll postings. If your Resource is a Fixed Asset, then the cost of the resources will flow through to the G/L based on the depreciation journals.
On the Project Posting Group you can also determine whether Fault Reporting is mandatory on this type of Job. This means that if the Fault code is not populated on the Project Task Line an error message comes up when you try to mark the Project Task as Completed.
